The AMRA recently announced the sanctioning of Brushcreek Motorsports Complex's 'American Heritage 101' as part of the 2007 Road Warrior Tour schedule.
"We've been fielding phone calls from racer's as far away as Oklahoma" said AMRA president Larry Keefer."This race is really drawing a lot of interest, and the word is just now starting to get out. Pre-entries have started to come in, and from the looks of it, this will be just as big as we envisioned when Tom Partin (BMC
owner & promoter) proposed the idea."
The early release of pre-entries include the 2006 AMRA National champion (Andy Bond) & runner-up (Ken Riddle), the 2006 Road Warrior champion (Mark thingyson) & runner-up (Dave Defibaugh), along with the original AMRA champion (Doug Henry), 2006 AMRA track champions (JR Nolan & Rodney Keefer) and the 'Lightning' modified chassis builder Donnie Adams.
The 'American Heritage 101' is a unique event in that the winner is presented with a brand new Harley Davidson 'Heritage' Motorcycle. Additionally, one lucky fan in attendance also will leave the evenings event as proud new Harley owner.
Keefer continued, saying "The total purse is outstanding. There is nearly $18,000.00 from 2nd to 24th, and if the winner chooses to opt for cash, the track will pay him $10,000.00 in place of the new Harley 'Heritage' motorcycle.""The pay-off to just to start the feature is $500.00!"
Official race registration forms are available on the AMRA website @
www.amramodified.com/americanheritageform.html, with additional race information available on the AMRA website homepage @ www.amramodified.com.
Pre-registrations received prior to January 31st, 2007 are $100.00, offering early entrants a discount versus entries received after Jan. 31, or on race day.
Early registration is recommended, as this event may neccesitate an entry closing date, depending on registration numbers.
"It's our hope that this race will be the same to modifieds as what the 'World 100' or 'Dirt Track World Championship' has come to be for the Late Model racers & fans. We believe that this will be a race that everyone will want to say they were a part of in future years" concluded Keefer.
